It doesn't mean Solms can't establish a niche business. But the idea of Wave as a major player in ensuring trust in the use, storage and exchange of valuable information between platforms has been rendered absurd by time. Sad but apparently true.

Sprague could see what he wanted to do but he couldn't figure how to get there. He dangled the dream and some adherents bought into it. But he didn't reckon with the power of companies invested in their own cash flows. It's desperately hard to replace the players who control the status quo. Contempt for folks "who don't get it" isn't the most efficient method of trying, either. The folks running MNOs, OS Vendors, PC manufacturers etc. get it. They consider their self-interest. In not understanding that, Sprague demonstrated he didn't get it. Cash is king. The established proprietors won. To lever the world, you need a fulcrum. Sprague had none.

Solms is just trying to find a commercial role for Wave. No reason he shouldn't make a decent business here.
