I live in the Dallas area. I have already been thinking about adding some form of solar to my home. I have a favorable roofline that faces an open southern sky, we have a good amount of sunshine all year around too. I would love to take a bite out of my electric bill. The problem that I have run in to so far, and I admit I have not searched this too hard, but there are not a lot of service providers that work in the Dallas area. They are starting to pop up here and there, but the deals they offer just do not have my attention yet. Its getting close but no cigar so far.

Then there is the delima of owning or leasing.. zero out of pocket or not.. things that the normal consumer is going to consider. But we are getting very close to where it makes me want to pull the trigger. I have not seen any other residences with solar panels yet, so I may spark a trend! Who knows!
