Just answering my own question here.

Swatch uses ceramic and Liquidmetal to form a seamless bond. Maybe Apple is looking to do the same thing with phones, using a ceramic and Liquidmetal for the bezel or internals. This is actually a pretty neat idea. Apple may be building up to a fairly significant deal for us where we get massive press.
