IMO, they regret now going public as successful small businesses sometimes do. They have shown a desire to prevent take over in the past and have increased the shares to do that. If they wish to retain the most power and benefit the most from their own hard work it would make sense to me that they would institute a share buyback. However, they do not have tons of money so the only good way to do this would be 1)Not report it 2)buy as low as possible. If they went dark they could buy as many shares as they want without creating significant attention that would drive the SP up. At the incredibly low SP right now that would be very easy to do, and in the last week we have seen a few hundred million shares trading hands. Why else would a company who just started doing well go dark?
