big: The real intention of the plaintiffs is not to invalidate the patents. The patents-in-suit will expire first. It is to financially punish NEOM for being a what the perceive as a patent troll. It's working.
NeoMedia has recently changed their definition of index. Index is actually a very well-defined word within patent law. If the plaintiffs are successful. It may entirely end NeoMedia's patent licensing business model. Considering the failure of that strategy in the past quarters, that could be good for investors.
