"focused on research"??? Loprinzi and Mayo have FIVE YEARS experience with the thing? How MUCH MORE "research" do they need? It's not they're doing heart transplants, ya'know? And per MISTER Marineo, you can figure out who's going to respond with the first treatment! Lodimwit and Mayo could screen THOUSANDS for potential "responders" (aka "DAs") and test its effectiveness in a matter of months!
But YOU'RE saying this HUGE, WEALTHY institution would rather let all those unfortunate patients SUFFER in PAIN while Mayo dawdles around with "research" in order to make up their minds as to whether to spend a lousy 60 grand on a "miracle" painkilling machine? You must have a very dim view of Mayo's level of compassion.
And, speaking of a "HUGE, WEALTHY institution," the military seems a tad SLOW about ordering any more machines, don't they? Uncle Sam could order a thousand tomorrow and not even scratch the Pentagon budget. Indeed, I read where they spent something like two MILLION dollars just to SHIP an MRI to Afghanistan! And wasn't Conrad (aka "Bullteat") SUPPOSED to be announcing some GSA contract some four MONTHS ago?
Seems awfully odd that despite all that money, no one seems willing to fork over relatively "diddly" amounts of cash for a "miracle" painkilling machine, doesn't it?
