Reposting this because I want others here who, like me, were interested in the technology but have soured on the company.
I had heard about Nexgen on this blog and decided to check them out. It seems that they're real. I spoke with one of their managers, and asked him about the product and the history, and he was pretty open.
I asked if they were related to Megola (for you LV!!) and they are not, never have been. They had tested with AF21 years ago but Megola was screwed out of their product rights, so they had to develop their own antifire product. They are doing a lot of work in Europe and Asia and Australia / New Zealand, and now are focusing on developing NA.
BTW, I asked and they do check on this blog from time-to-time but claim they wish ecob nothing but success as the more there are in the coatings industry the better off they all are. Interesting.
The thing that attracted me to ecob in the first place was the idea of the product. Reading this blog for a while now I understand ecob isn't going to last. Nexgen may be the "solution".
