No kidding Mike-everybody KNOWS it is not REQUIRED!!!
Perhaps rather than an indifferent response, something better would have been "Given the opportunities we have talked about in the last 45 minutes, we feel that our stock is severely undervalued right now"!!!

Congratulations Mike, in a 5 second response you were able to NULLIFY any possible benefit from the previous contents of the CC.
