Man fails to rob Loaf 'N Jug

The Bismarck Police Department is looking for a man who failed Tuesday to rob the Loaf 'N Jug, 2600 E. Rosser Ave.

A 23-year-old store employee told police that between 4:30 and 4:40 a.m., an apparently intoxicated man, holding a folding knife, walked into the store with his sweatshirt over his head to conceal his face.

The man demanded money, but the clerk told him he was unable to give him any. The man then demanded cigarettes, but did not receive those either. He then left the store empty-handed.

Nobody else was in the store at the time.

Bismarck Police Sgt. Mark Buschena described the suspect as white; clean shaven with short brown hair and brown eyes; approximately 5-feet-8-inches tall, with a slim build; and weighing between 140 and 180 pounds. The suspect was wearing a Duke University hooded sweatshirt, gray sweat pants and tennis shoes.
