They may consider more factors you don't consider. I am not an economist, so I am not sure how that works. One thing I know is high rates will absorb money back to the bank. But who knows? Maybe they want to raise rate to initiate another financial storm to punish other countries like they punched the oil price to punish Russia and Iran. Lol, just my opinion.
