Not much to write about until FY2014 10-K

Since I posted about the first industrial hemp bill in January, not much has changed except for a few things:

1) A couple of weeks after the Senate bill was introduced, a similar bill was read in the House. Both bills are now sitting in their respective Judiciary committees, and I don't expect either to move for awhile yet.

2) CannaVest filed a lawsuit last year against Kannaway over the use of the trademark "Cannabis Beauty Defined". A few weeks ago, CANV won an injunction barring Kannaway from using that name until the case is tried, and had to post a $1.2M bond against the possibility that they could lose in trial (I don't think CANV will lose, but you never know).

3) The 8-K filed a few weeks weeks ago about CANV's intention to sell another 12M shares at $2 per showed that dilution continues as they can't generate enough cash from operations to pay the farmers for the next year's hemp crop.

The sales numbers for FY2014 provided in the filing don't look that impressive, and the estimates for 2015 and beyond seem like a wish, especially since after filing the 8-K, they cut retail prices by half (seems like a desperation move to me).

Finally, while I wrote that it was possible that CANV could go to $1 last Fall, I didn't say that it would.

OTOH, some here thought it would be at $15 by April. Unless they report some stellar numbers in the FY2014 10-K, that's not likely to happen.

I think that this post of mine from 1/12/15 is still quite applicable:
