OMG, THE THING I LOVE IS WHEN YOU BEAT ME TO THE COMMENTS OF THE SHOW, and then i get to compare your notes to mine. i want you to know, i worked hard and its late, but im posting all my details and thoughts.

also, great review skilz, and thx again for chiming in to what may be the loneliest topic on ihub. so, thx for keeping IDOL alive.

ok, my take.

the whole "chairs turn green thing"... if they make it through to sing for more votes, was confusing since they just got voted through last night and sang for votes. i may have missed the rules of the show tonight, but before, on idol,you sang, and the next show, you got booted off with rap and garbage acts, between the drama.

here goes...........

1- rayvon- too many words in this song to keep up with (not his fault) but not good at all, hated the song choice but the judges loved it.

2- Maddie- looked fantastic but sang average imo. i didnt feel the "power" that the song seemed to need. but for the first time, she had a facial expression yet still nervous and shaking. then, Ryan, the host, said "you have pain that requires medical assistance" and i was like, ok, a migraine? cramps? what?

3- Joey (from my area in Va)- (and we agree on this review) we dont like her so far, but loved it tonight! never heard the song before, but she did great(for her style and all). she calmed way down, as im sure they told her, and some others, to chill out on stage. it worked for her. but i noticed a couple shows ago, that i think she wanted off the show when she seemed "worried" that she was moving on. Then tonight, she hinted for people to vote for maddie (who was in some sort of pain or something).. lets keep an eye on this sentiment.

hated the wrap/ape-like hip hop interlude. what is that??? oh, wait, its the theme song for the show or something and they are catering to the show "empire" and to later find out, they are not showing idol thurs, to not compete with that show, as they said tonight. wow. please go back to catering to coke commercials with the idols in it. sigh.

back to the singers......

4- clark- my fav... he took on a great song, but that song needed a "richer" voice. but he still rocked it. he reminds me of "phillip phillips" (idol winner) but now wants out of his contract. Did you all read about that? i liked the song clark did but the judges were not "inspired"??

5- jax- we disagree here.. it was weak, flat, ouch. play it back and dont watch the act. You may change your mind imo. but she looked cute, so, dont let cute or hot, throw you. she was only better at the end. judges didnt like it either.

6- qassim- um, horrible song choice, he bombed, just awful but a great "entertainer" on stage, just not the voice part.

7- adanna- like some others, its a song i have never heard.. too many words and hard to keep up with. that's not easy.. but i give it to her, she did GREAT! a fun song too! best for her, imo. judges agreed.

8- tyanna- another song i never heard.. it reminded me of the "happy" song, if you hear it back. again, too many words for them to have to rattle off.. still dont like her singing, but i do like her. but, its a singing contest. why does she always dress like a guy? hmm. kids these days. sigh. i hope i'm wrong but whatever. it was awful but judges and audience loved it. why?

9- daniel- why does Qaasim have to get face time with everyone that gets called up. he hugs them, spins them.. they need to tell him to sit the heck down and stop taking over every scene. he is a camera hog. so, back to daniel. he reminds me of a young scott bayo (see both pics below)





anyway, I love the song "happy" but he didnt do well on that. yet, he was better than some of the others. but for being so young, he entertained well.

10- Quentin- love the look but dont like the singing. he was trying to do the same "dialect" that all the kids are doing now days, but why? just sing in your "accent" imo. Once again, harry had to be the bad judge, but he was right and mostly is.

11- nick- love the original version of the song BUT it was way too rushed and made his fast and mousy vibrato, even faster and mousier. but kids now days are so hyper, that everything is in fast forward i guess. slim pickin's for idol this year.

so, the one red chair is for Sarina. she bombed and so they didnt save her. what we have to remember is THE JUDGES CAN ONLY SAVE ONE TIME AND THAT "SAVE" EXPIRES at THE TOP 5. not sure if it was that way before, but, get ready for a bad one to get saved and we waste our time one week, to kick one off.
