its normal for China to cool down- they didnt begin embracing capitalism until 1981 and not fully til 1989- Mao and the gang of four's 1967 cultural revolution took china back to the 1800's

so China began w a very low base-its harder to keep up % growth figures on a much larger base-which even at 7.2% growth/year would double the base in 10 years-law of 72

the real problem is the big boys attempt to eliminate other miners at even large losses to the big boys sometimes

but latin america has some of the lowest cost mines- China wages are now larger than Mex wages

and India exports were 1st shut ca 3 years ago due to court decisions resulting from illegal mines
