Idiot Criminal Shot With His Own Gun

Would-Be Robber Shot By Clerk With His Own Gun
In a series of events caught on surveillance camera at a Kentucky tobacco store, one vigilant clerk was able to seize on a robber’s mistake by shooting him with his own firearm. The incident occurred Friday in Lexington when a pair of men entered the retailer with the intent of robbing 21-year-old clerk Zara Adil.
According to WTVQ, Adil was prepared to comply with their demand as at least one of the men brandished a gun and demanded cash from the till. When she noticed that the subject put down his gun momentarily while the cash register drawer was open, however, she saw an opportunity to turn the tables on the criminal team.
“I picked up the gun and pointed it at the second guy and said, ‘You run or I will shoot you,’” Adil explained.
While the threat worked on one of the two would-be robbers, she noted that the other remained in the store and began physically attacking her. She still had control of the gun, however, and fired once, striking him in the shoulder.
“I asked him why he was doing this,” she continued, “and he just said ‘Let me go, let me go.’”
When she informed the man that he would be free to go if he would leave the money behind, the suspect refused, prompting the clerk to use her advantage by continuing to pummel him. She concluded that her response to the threat is the only one to which criminals will respond.
“If more people stand up,” she said, “they won’t have that much courage to go around and do what they’re doing.”
