This is a perfect example of Big Pharma buying innovation, not producing it. Big Pharma execs want as little risk as possible and it it clear they will continue to acquire their way to gain and protect market share.

Why spend billions on R&D when you can cherry pick the winners and use your stock and massive MC as currency? This works as long as distruptors are willing to sell. At some point the behemoths will be replaced the upstarts but for early investors who have large positions, the difference is one island vs two islands. It doesn't really affect quality of life.
