Just to confirm. When he was brought on board by the old CEO, that relationship also, eventually soured. Seems to be a common theme. Dealings with him tend to oscillate between "rocky" or go "south" at some point.

So yes. Starting with old management to establish a point of reference is what I'd suggest.
