If you agree that

RR contra was a big deal then - but RR is viewed as an American Idol by those tossing mud at this PRESIDENT as if RR never did THAT

and if you agree that

many if not most presidents have had a near monarchy presidency (some more visible than others) via a combo of

vetos (BO lowest of all 20th century two termers - so far)- signing statements
executive privilege shielding
and
executive action movement

then I will agree this President has done his share to expand the power of the Presidency

((such expansion being real and a continuation of a series of Dem and Rep presidents EACH OF WHOM without fail increased the power of the Executive Office ))

what annoys me is that people believe and say that this time is so very much immensely different - when it simply is happening in the era of serious polarization - massive media - and shrill politics
