re: the paste stuff---can't vouch for Excel as you know I use OpenOffice Calc---the ckeditor in the IBOX strips some/most/all formats including colors when you paste from OpenOffice
if you use the "W" paste option on the upper left (paste from Word), some/most/all formats paste intact including colors---try it, you may likeit
