India and China also have a sordid history of producing fake or contaminated API and generic drugs - recall that story that a huge amount of OTC supplements sold at 4 large retailers either didn't contain the ingredients listed on the label, or had way less of them that the label claimed? I guarantee you most of them were made in China. They also go the other way all the time - include real drugs in OTC products - ED and weight loss drugs are the ones most contaminated with real drugs, the latter being quite dangerous, as the banned Avandia is widely used. Heck, recently there have been Chinese OTC products containing ARNA's Lorcaserin discovered for sale - so not only are they using hidden ingredients, they're doubling down by violating patent laws too!
