This, my friend, is also going to happen to mobile phones and sooner than you think.

I think smartphone shipments will continue to grow 8-10% per year for the next five years or so..so moving from about 1.3 billion units shipped to about 2 billion per year over that time period. A lot of that growth will come on the low end..but Apple has demonstrated that people will gladly pay premium prices if you pull the right combo of hardware, software and marketing buzz together..so I expect no shortage of companies trying to grab a piece of that market.
