Yeah I agree. Producers are saying though that even the crappy wells are becoming much more efficent and profitable and, in fact, they have in the last 18 mos figured out how to double production from wells that they would've otherwise shutdown just a couple of years ago. Technology is advancing at breakneck speed in the oil patch. I heard some talking head interviewing one of the big producer CEOs (don't recall just who at the moment) but he (CEO) said that the oil today is different than your dad's oil field. What was once thought of as just blue-collar grunt type work, is now a high tech operation and it's getting more technical and profitable by the day.
