Called my broker, Charles Schwab..

Here is what they told me. They have not yet received the new shares. They said it could take as little as a few days to a couple of months.. the guy went on to say that since this was a penny stock he would not be surprised if it was the latter. Hopefully this is not the case. I am not planning on selling but I do want to have what is mine.

I was able to buy the new shares just fine. That's no problem. I have those now.

I am able to sell the old shares if I want, I would have to call my broker to do so but here is the kicker.. he told me that if they still did not have the shares by the settlement date (3 days later?) I could be forced to buy back in. In other words, reverse the trade and at my expense. I guess they just need to make sure to cover their backsides. No sense in that, I am not going anywhere but like I said before, I just want to have whats mine.
