i agree. i think sensible investors leave wave to worry about the conformity of the design of its products with published standards and how those standards develop. the correlation between standards development and wave's progress has been evidently absent for more than a decade. i don't see much force behind a set of voluntary standards.

i wonder whether there is demand for wave's products. i assume each company makes its purchase decision based on its own needs. if wave's product satisfies them, it will sell.

so watching standards development is like looking towards the mountains when you are concerned with a tsunami. demand is the ocean wave must be watching. solms can say it is present generally in the marketplace. but if wave's products aren't delivering it, then there's no demand for wave's particular products all the same.

the good news is that they just experienced a decent sized order for something.
