States of emergency declared as winter storm hits South

FEBRUARY 26, 2015, 7:03 AM|It is the third big winter storm in less than two weeks, and much of the South continues to shiver under another powerful blast of snow, sleet and ice. States like Alabama, Georgia and the Carolinas have declared states of emergency. Vinita Nair reports from Durham, North Carolina, where there is serious damage.

Eleven states had winter storm warnings in effect Wednesday, reason enough for schools across the region to shut down and bread and milk aisles to get stripped bare.
