Honestly Sox...

I'm not really trying to educate anyone...my motives are purely selfish...although I may like them in some context, I really don't give a personal rip about these anonymous folks who conjure up/share/spread their "theory" du jour or cite mystery studies that are bogus at their inception and easily debunked by even my limited google skills. Being willfully ignorant IS an important place to start and I wonder too as to why? And, I don't think there is a "willfully" component as much as there is a viscerally and deeply imprinted "belief" that doesn't let contrarian information gain a footing let alone change the belief. This work fascinates me.

What I relish is the opportunity to hear/see the depth of curious "beliefs" that steer the voters to think less of Congress than cockroaches and hemorrhoids. Yet the same voters are snookered into sending the same nutters back to Washington or now worse, their own state legislative bodies. Snookered by slick political advertising paid by the usual 1%er suspects to benefit their own and often no one else's ends. All the bad guys in history have had a crack spin team that often scapegoated some minority as the cause of all things evil. 2015 is no exception.

This (and other anonymous sites like it) are to me just a Chaos Theory brand of micro community that is representative of what's happening across the country and in many cases the world. So to that I say, "Thanks folks for the educational opportunities". In many instances I would not ever have known how far off the rails seemingly good people are...so for that, thanks again those of you squirming in your chairs as you read this...

Exchanges here help ME deal with these folks in real time under face to face encounters. I rarely get caught flat footed by bizar interpretations of local current events. Most of which pale in comparison to the broad base of beliefs cast here as "facts".

The additional benefit to me is that when I put myself out there and am challenged, I take it seriously. Except for the most bogus Jesus rode dinosaurs type claims, I do a bit more actual research to see if I should believe what I think (such a Democrat thing). I've changed or softened my position on lots of stuff based on valid science or accumulated subjective information...again thanks folks for facilitating MY education.

DISCLAIMER and SPOILER ALERT: 1. This post is not a cut and paste from any canadian/european/asian/russian/Beck/Limburger/fellow conspirator or other comedy contributor - its just IMHO...and 2. No non-human animals were injured or suffered in the creation of these comments...
