"still keeps moving forward"?

In five years the Mark 5 engine hasn't actually powered anything.

It's now had most of the patented "features" removed. In the event it actually works in this form, there is nothing to keep anyone from building copies.

The Mark 5 efficiency claims come from a calculation that claims the base engine is 23.2% efficient, and the heat regeneration adds 8.37% to that. The "new and improved" Mark 5 in the video is now considerably less efficient since it doesn't use heat regeneration.

It now has a big condenser hanging off it, so it's lost it's claim to being compact.

The rotary valve will never be able to seal against steam at 3200 psi, so the engine power will have to be considerably reduced.

The rotary valve also doesn't allow the cutoff to be controlled, so the engine speed won't be controllable, except by increasing or decreasing the fire. But isn't the burner either all on or all off? It'll be like controlling the speed of your car by turning the ignition on and off repeatedly as you're driving.

Aside from those minor details, there's all kinds of "moving forward". For instance, this video is in higher definition than the one from 2010...
