Sandridge Energy And Other Oil Stocks Down On Decline In Oil Prices

12:55 PM EST, 02/23/2015 (MT Newswires) -- Sandridge Energy (SD) shares fell nearly 8% Monday on the heels of a decline in oil prices, which also weighed on other oil stocks.

Recently, oil was down 3.19%, or $1.62, a barrel to $49.19 over concerns about a glut in supply and a refinery strike in the U.S. by the United Steelworkers.

Shares of Sandridge Energy led the decliners on Monday, recently off 8%, or $0.18, to $2.13 on volume of 9.4 million shares. Average daily volume is 17.8 million shares.

Shares of Chesapeake Energy (CHK) were off 2%, or $0.41, to $19.89, while Cheniere Energy (LNG) was off 0.70%, or $0.49, to $73.51 and Samson Oil & Gas (SSN) was down 2% to $0.23 a share.
