In all my years in business I've never seen a group of companies, namely the Korean Electronic Group (Samsung, LG, Daewoo and now Japans Panasonic) thinking that they can make inroads in the bio area. They feel, and in many areas they are right, that making semi-conductors is a multiple degree more stringent that making drugs. What they lack is a agreed to gmp procedure but they always had to produce to high standards or their product was junk.

Recently the FDA built a office in Korea twice the size of anything else it has.
