It's a paper gain at the moment, that may be a loss by the time they sell. Most companies that franchise do so from a strong position of execution and experience. Their "negotiations" are probably them trying to convince existing shops to do things their way and pay them some money. Works better when you can refer to concrete success stories. Easier to sell stock at this point. Force just had its payday. Not touching that one by a mile.
