Well if it true that SE and the others own a large stake in the company then for sure! They want to make themselves a billion dollars. And the only reason superior was looked at is because they owned some of the prime oil and gas real estate surrounded by the big boys. I would prefer a reverse split if it enables the company to jump to the NASDAQ. The NASDAQ small cap (formerly AMEX) is minimum $2 a share. The thing is if they put together a huge deal it would run past $2 without the need for a reverse split. However the smaller float would add more value with extra volatility. This company will be fine either way. To raise money usually accredited investors avoid non fully reporting pinky stocks so this already is an anomaly.
