The discussion of the virus shape and attach points misses what I think the Dr. is talking about.

As Drkaz has pointed out the shape of the virus doesn't matter in terms of attach points. I think what management is worried about related to virus shape is the ability of the micelles to envelope the virus once it attaches to the ligand. As I understand it the viruses that have been tested have been round in shape. Ebola is somewhat unusual in that it is not a round virus particle.

This becomes the physical chemistry part of the virus destruction process.
