The New England Patriots’ hotel fire alarm went off in the early morning hours Thursday, the second time this week the alarm has disturbed the team as it prepares for this weekend’s Super Bowl XLIX.
Several players told ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio that they slept right through both alarms, the first of which went off on Tuesday. Thursday’s happened at about about 2 a.m.
"I haven't heard it. Must be sleeping through it, so that's good," quarterback Tom Brady told ESPN. "I slept great."
The public relations director at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass said the alarm did not go off in the players’ wing, ESPN said. She apologized and said the hotel was taking the situation seriously.
Online, though, the situation wasn’t being taken as seriously.
