WTI crude oil takes out $44 per barrel, now lower on the session by 1.6% to $43.75, and the slide is taking down the energy sector (XLE -1.8%), and helping to turn the broader market lower (SPY -0.6%) after opening gains.
Current crude price is up a little now from earlier lows, but I still think it could turn lower. JMO. But I think we could be getting close. I've been watching this sector closely. Linked in the Seeking Alpha news brief are a list of other etfs (although UWTI is an etn) affected by crude. GLTY.
