Mannkind may not be a buyout target right now, but once the product starts to really get marketed that will change. I personally believe that Sanofi has quietly purchased a great deal of Mannkind stock in preparation for a buyout once the product proves itself in the market. Furthermore, I believe that buyout rumors will start flying once the stock gets into the $10/share range.
