LEXG - That's why Accounting for Dummies is for Dummies... as a CPA... there are obviously times when a bracketed negative number are positives in a financial statement as they represent a "contra" account item... that is moving in the opposite manner expected... and with the particular case as the LEXG PPS went south peoples options to exercise common stock warrants and options went underwater... which creates a negative accounting number... but actually a positive impact on the balance sheet... so technically JandKsMoney is correct in the accounting trivia question for the day...
Oh well... that doesn't really get covered until Intermediate Accounting I in college...
