WRT to exclusives, it would be extremely unlikely for Dow to sign an agreement that prevents them from participating in the broad market and committing their entire production output to one buyer for any extended period. As a 30+ year materials industry guy, I can assure you exclusivity is what the supplier pushes for, not the customer. My interpretation is that LG got something (lower price, minimum volume commitment, extended terms, consignment, etc.) for agreeing not to buy from anyone else for some fixed period of time. The only way I could imagining it working in the direction you have suggested is if the exclusivity refers to just the specific customized formulation. Thus, it would be very distinct and Dow would be free to sell different formulations to the other display manufacturers.

Dow bought a worldwide license for the display market. It would make zero sense for them to then turn around and lock into just one slice of the pie so early in the game.
