I believe if the 3DIcon display were able to show a detailed and stable transparent monochrome display they could attract funding and quickly hire developers and programmers that could flesh it out adding solid appearing surfaces with color. In my limited experience with 3D active shutter visualizations once the initial wow factor wears off it's all about usability to provide a detailed conceptual idea to share better than flat drawings but short of an actual prototype while collaborative ongoing development takes place between far flung teams. Make it glasses free and non headache inducing and a flat screen would work well for industrial uses.

I would guess that the 3D volumetric display would really shine over and above a flat 3D appearing display in areas such as remote control of surgical instruments etc.

Our only problem as gambler investors seems to be the lack of anything new being shown by TDCP since the green teacup. I for one do not believe the current group has any idea how to move the process forward and they are just waiting on a handout from uncle Sam so that they can hire some sharp new blood to complete the process. In other words, the current management is irrevelant and has nothing to offer and no prototype to show so why should they benefit from any potential government handout? With other companies already producing actual completed products and publicized technologies there would be no reason to award anything to 3DIcon and lots of reason to reward those already on the road to commercial success.
