Peter Sleep a director with Smartmetric flew over to the States and left Saturday last week..He saw Colin in Miami and then went to the factory which is making one of the parts of the component and Colin had to then fly up to New York in a hurry to get some documents signed with the Lawyers.
Peter is now in New York. He has an appointment to see the head of the FBI with "Uncle John's" minder. "Uncle John" being our Prime minister. John Howard is currently over there seeing "Uncle George". Peter has been in touch with Steve Martin who organises all the security and is an employee of the Federal Police here in Australia and a client of mine and who has invested a considerable sum of money in Smartmetric . Peter met the head of the FBI socially about 18 months ago as they both have a time share in Hawaii and prior to this gentlemen having to break his holiday to go off quickly to Singapore when there was a terrorist attach there if you can recall.
At this meeting Steve has been asked to sit in which I think is wonderful for Steve, not only to meet with someone of such high profile in his business, but he is a very big influence for us with relation to the Smartmetric chip and it his through him that we will be doing a power point presentation to John Howard.
Peter is hoping to be able to bring back the prototype model when he returns in about 2 weeks time. John Danger has many interested parties who are waiting to see it and his son is very high up in the Defence Force here as well as many other Organizations Banks etc. This security with banks etc. still has a long way to go as well as with re entry Visas etc. however we will be in the forerunning.
John when he spoke to me on Saturday morning said he thinks everything is just about ready to be signed off with the Securities
Commission in the States. It then goes to the Nasdaq Board who in turn will give us the list date. I am unsure as to whether that is within the NEXT 1 month period, or they give us a list date within the one month period which means a date is given AFTER that 30 DAYS. They do have a number of listings going through some 2 to 3 a day as the market is very strong over there at the moment so we will be in line. Anticipated listing price is $5.00 U S dollars. The marketing arm and the Stock Brokers then feed the market with all the good news and that pushes the price up. As you will be aware the chip is able to do the three functions at once namely finger facial and iris and nobody has got what Colin has got and he is about 2 years ahead of everybody. It has been said that he has really done the "impossible"
John is waiting for a two page screed to come down from Colin who has been a little slack however Peter is following this up so that he can get a newsletter out to everybody. He says he also has the letter ready at the "push of a button" to go out too for when he has the list date!!!
I understand that Peter will be tied up with Colin for the next three U S working days so we do not expect to hear anything until about Thursday this week as there a lot of things and questions that also John wants answered. John did say though that we should have a good tax relief on the U S side and the Australian side.
