If there is one thing lawyers are very good at and are true and honest in their efforts, it is delay.

An 80-year-old woman appeared before the New Jersey Supreme Court for the last time and asked for the last time as her circumstances had been reduced from wealth to total destitution over decades for herself and her son by the courts.

The court decided that the matter of the execution of "the Fiend of the Century" was best left to history and so it was.

The case against the "fiend" was so bad and so manipulated that a young J. Edgar Hoover with his nascent FBI put as much distance as he could between himself and the case. Today the FBI presents the the old evidence, including such ludicrous nonsense as a key eyewitness who was legally blind, as proof justice was done.

IMHO the court will act when it will should it decide to act at all. I expect years will fly by before there is any conclusion to MVPI's quest.
