EPA is a simple molecule, EPA derived from algae will be the same EPA molecule derived from fish, both are refined, maybe the base material the molecules are in, is what you are referring too. Not sure your statement makes any sense.

there may be significant biological differences between EPA derived from fish oils and that grown in a vat -
