I agree with most things you said, but I don't know if the 1% owns 50% of the market. But that is a small part of the fact that the small investor is at a disadvantage, which should be know to all of those entering the stock market as an individual investor.

It is part of the game to see if your DD along with your trading discipline can keep up and possibly beat the big boys and institutions.
