Background
Mr. John P. Rochon, Sr.,has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of CVSL Inc. (formerly, Computer Vision Systems Laboratories Corp.) since September 25, 2012 and since November 30, 2012 respectively. Mr. Rochon serves as the President of Rochon Capital Partners, Ltd. He serves as the General Partner and Chairman of Richmont Capital Partners. He is the Founder of Richmont Capital Partners I LP and serves as its General Partner and Chairman. He is General Partner of Richmont Capital Partners II. During the same period, he managed the growth of a portfolio of Richmont companies, in such varied industries as financial services, marketing, international trading, food services and office supplies. He has more than three and a half decades of wide-ranging success in finance, operations, business planning, sales, brand-building and marketing. He is a highly accomplished investor and business strategist. He is an innovator in the use of multiple channels to market to consumers and was a leader in having the power of the Internet to consumer sales. His career has included more than 300 business transactions across various industries. His career has included significant international operating experience, including the planning and execution of a major global expansion into 37 countries on five continents. He is a leader in the global direct selling industry. He founded several investment funds, including a hedge fund, a fund of funds and a debt investment fund. He began his career as a chemist before moving on to management positions in manufacturing, operations, marketing and finance. In his first career assignment, he was part of a turnaround team in support of Laura Secord, a division of Labatt's in Canada. He spent the early part of his career working for Chesebrough-Ponds (Unilever), where he was affiliated with such major brands as Prince Matchabelli, Q-Tips, Ragu, Vaseline and Prince tennis racquets. After spending the early part of his career working at Ecolab International, he joined Mary Kay Inc. in 1980. He held several executive positions at Mary Kay Inc., including Controller, and Director of Manufacturing. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Mary Kay Inc. since 1984. He served as Vice Chairman of Mary Kay Inc., since 1987 and served as its Chief Executive Officer from 1991 to 2001. Mr. Rochon served as the Chief Executive Officer at Mary Kay Holding Corp. from 1991 to 2001. He was the architect of Mary Kay's management-led leveraged buyout in 1985, arranging the financing and executing the transaction. Mr. Rochon is the Founder of Richmont Holdings, Inc. and serves as its Chairman. He founded Richmont International, Inc. in 2002 and serves as its Chairman. He serves as the Chairman of CVSL Inc. He has been the Chairman of Richmont Corp., since 1990. He has been the Chairman of NuKote, Inc. since 1994. He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Richmont Marketing Specialists Inc. since 1997. He served as the Chairman of Mary Kay Inc., since 1991.
