When you see some of the crap that got produced, and then read some treatments of some of the brilliant stuff that never got picked up, you wonder what it takes to make it all the way to air. It is persistence, more than anything else. Stories abound, and more that one future star has banged his head against the wall before seeing his script get picked up. We have a pilot, and true professionals attached. The company has a real chance and a running start, but these things take time.

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot
strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring on
prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner
up by pulling the wage payer down.
