Kandi Technologies Announces the Launch of "Mini Police Car" Program in Hangzhou
Kandi Technologies, Corp. January 14, 2015 9:27 AM GlobeNewswire

JINHUA, China, Jan. 14, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kandi Technologies Group, Inc. (KNDI) (the "Company" or "Kandi"), today announced that the first 60 Kandi Brand electric vehicles ("EV"s) were delivered to launch another innovative EV business model, a "Mini Police Car" Program. The EVs are designated for the first time use by the Hangzhou Uptown Public Security Bureau to facilitate performance of community safety patrols, population permit patrols, fire safety inspections, as well as other police duties.

China's major urban areas are generally crowded and its roads are typically narrowed and congested. The mini police car offers the advantage of providing police with quick access into these congested areas and small alleyways which officers driving bulkier traditional full-size police vehicles had difficulty accessing. To meet the specifications and requirements of the "Mini Police Car" Program, Kandi specifically equipped these EVs with the necessary police equipment, firefighting apparatuses, emergency kits, and other related equipment.

Hu Xiaoming, Chairman and CEO of Kandi, commented: "This type of mini police car is a small size vehicle with full features. It is eco-friendly and enables policemen to navigate congested roads and accomplish tasks more efficiently. I believe that after the launch of the 'Mini Police Car' program, this innovative business model will likely be replicated by more police and security departments in Hangzhou and elsewhere, and will garner the attention of and support from various governmental departments and agencies. In addition to our successful EV sharing program catering average Chinese consumers, going forward, we hope to explore more EV growth opportunities in the area of fleet sales and leasing to large business and government entities in China."
