Here in California the push for renewable energy is the pride of the state.

In reality, the massive misdirection of funds into the great undependables - wind and solar - as well as impeding the beneficial use of kindling for the terrible forest fires makes California a handmaiden of the fossil fuel vultures. Even the priceless inheritance of a huge lead in geothermal power, potentially a far more potent source of clean, green, cheap baseload power than all other energy sources combined has been fought tooth and nail by purported environmentalists who think it is somehow not natural like favored destructive sinkholes for money. Some of the poorest countries on the planet are taking advantage of the bounty - like the onetime poor man of Europe, Iceland, once did - while America fritters away its once insurmountable lead.

Massive Dilution may not always be right - none of us are - but it would pay to direct critiques to substance rather than invective IMO. His warnings are very soundly based with full attribution of sources.
