HBV points made on San Fran Presentation slides:

Ø? The hepaMMs B virus genome encodes four open reading frames; core, polymerase, surface and X protein
Ø? The pregenomic mRNA serves for translaMon of the core protein, the surface anMgen and the polymerase-reverse transcriptase, and also represents the template of reverse transcripMon. Therefore, it makes an excellent target for a gene silencing approach.
Ø? The mechanism of RNA-directed DNA synthesis has been well characterised and plays a unique and essenMal role in the viral replicaMon cycle.
Ø? Additional targets can be incorporated into the DNA construct to allow for more efficient inhibition of viral replication.

Good to see progress on the hep b front.

Also, I found the name Tribetarna an interesting choice. "Tri"= III , as in Beta III, "beta" as in BetaIII, "arna", as in Pharma? Just taking a stab at it. I think at one point they even call the Hepatitis program as Hepbarna.
