yanni, a lady, flipped plastic cups while singing. was good, not great. her partner, nick, sang mousy. she got the boot and he got put through. go figure.
I actually liked him and thought they both should go through.
then a guy named "hollywood anderson" sounds like a female and sang the songs like those other ladies, immitating the famous singer. i thought it was horrible and they loved him.
He was decent, not as good as they made out, not as bad as you made out in my opinion.
There were some good girl singers, when they showed the the three blondes I believe all three got through, two of them were pretty good.
Overall I thought there was alot of weak singers going through, and a number of them just need a alot of work in my opinion.
Like for example the toy guy with the drawings, he first sang crazy think he was trying to copycat adam (although adam actually sounds good when he does that). His second song he wasn't bad in my opinion. I think he needs some work, but he could also surprise in my opinion, I found him to be like a dark horse pick to make it to the top 24 in my opinion.
Thing is we don't need a ton of great signers though, they accept about 200 of them, so even then you only need a little over 10% of them to be solid in my opinion.
