A few problems with assuming OSU will move things forward.
First of all, the OSU branch concerned does automotive research, they obviously don't specialize in the Rankine cycle, waste heat systems or turbo machinery. Being good at something doesn't mean they are good at everything.
Second, despite Cyclone's never-ending talk of partnerships for every little thing under the sun, they didn't "team up" with OSU. A team up implies both have a stake in the process and toss a certain amount into the kitty to fund operations. OSU doesn't do that, they work for money; Cyclone hired them. To date, its been over a year since anyone has seen OSU do anything on the project and, given that the current WHE was obviously built in Florida, it seems certain that OSU hasn't done anything beyond some initial project planning. Best guess is that they stopped work when the money stopped. Given current conditions I don't know if money will ever start flowing again....for one thing, why advertise for a chief engineer with extensive credentials if you plan on subcontracting the job?
