Well, tomorrow we get the short seller report. Will they be up or down?
I look for the short position to have increased again and to me that would mean that the shorters are averaging down, which is quite counter intuitive, since it reduces any profits a shorter can expect to earn, even if their targets are met. Since the lower the price at which the short interest increase, the less profits each drop represents for the short side. Which can only logically mean that short selling is a concerted effort to push the price down, in the hopes of causing longs to sell off enough shares, so that the shorter can cover without raising the price themselves.

The short selling in this issue has a rather chaotic history that can only be made sense of by a theory of manipulative short selling. Any thoughts?
