Twitch is a broadcasting service specifically targeted at video
game players. Users can stream their game play from a personal
computer, video game console or handheld device.


2. How does it work?

Once a user sets up an account, they start streaming their video
game exploits through their own channel. Devices like the
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One feature Twitch apps that allow for
simple, one-button broadcasting. Others might require more
elaborate setups like the use of game capture equipment. Viewers
can visit channels on Twitch, searching by users or game. The
service has been used to capture other events, such as press
conferences during June's Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los
Angeles.

3. How popular is Twitch?

According to Twitch, in July, the service hosted more than 50
million unique visitors that watched more than 15 billion minutes
worth of content. The number of users broadcasting has topped 1
million.

Owen is working on a Twitch like streaming channel that will feature
a host of gamers and entertainers hanging out and gaming. Shot with
the Production Camera 4K and a few additional cameras, the ATEM
Production Studio 4K will mix the camera footage with a live feed of
the game and produce a 4K stream.
